Look at length first
Start by comparing face length to cheekbone width. Longer faces usually lean oval or oblong. If width and length are close, round and square become more likely.
Check the widest point
The widest area says a lot. A broader forehead can point toward heart shapes, while strong cheekbones often show up in oval faces. A broad, even frame may suggest square.
Use your jawline as a tie-breaker
Soft and curved usually reads round or oval. Sharper, flatter edges often push toward square. A narrower chin compared with the forehead can indicate heart.
Why photo analysis helps
Manual mirror checks are subjective. A photo-based detector gives you a consistent frame, measures key ratios, and surfaces the closest and second-closest match when your features sit between categories.
